
IAOP Boards & Committees
Board and committees are made up of Founding Members, Corporate Members and other IAOP members selected for their specific ability and willingness to contribute to the work of IAOP.
Boards
Strategic Advisory Board – The focus and direction of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) is developed in association with the advice and counsel of its Strategic Advisory Board (SAB). The board is comprised of leading industry executives representing customers, providers and advisors from across the industry and around the world.
Regional Advisory Boards – To properly serve the diverse global community of outsourcing professionals, IAOP has established regional level advisory boards.
The Outsourcing Standards Board (OSB) – IAOP’s standards program is led by the Outsourcing Standards Board -- a separate not-for-profit organization created by IAOP expressly for the purpose of developing and advancing industry-wide standards and certification programs.
Council
European Outsourcing Council (EOC) - The EOC is comprised of European members who are committed to advising IAOP in the development of programs to serve our European members.
Committees
Training & Certification Committee – Takes the lead in identifying the educational needs of members and overseeing the development and delivery of its training programs. Additionally, this committee works with the Outsourcing Standards Board to ensure that IAOP members are properly prepared for initial and ongoing organizational and professional certification.
Research Initiatives – Topics to be considered include best practices, industry trends, and performance and professional benchmark data such as pricing, service levels, contracting, operational structures and salaries.
Membership Committee – Responsible for ensuring that the informational, networking and professional support activities of IAOP meet members’ needs. This includes IAOP’s annual conference, The Outsourcing World Summit; geographic, industry, and topical chapters; publications; and an array of online and direct member support services.
Advocacy & Outreach Committee – Directs the association’s activities for advancing outsourcing as a recognized profession and as an industry. This includes maintaining information for use by the press and government bodies; participating as an advocate at public forums; and developing and presenting association awards showcasing organizational and professional excellence.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee - Chartered with identifying and promoting discussion among IAOP members on how outsourcing can be used as a powerful tool for advancing critical social, economic, and environmental issues on a global basis.

Professionals serving on IAOP’s boards, committees or subcommittees earn 10 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) per year toward Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP) recertification.
