—it's always the perfect time to get involved with one or more IAOP chapters.
 

Chapter Re-Launch!
September 15 - Pacific Northwest chapter meeting: "Value Leakage in Outsourcing Transactions" and "Is Cloud for Real or Not" - A light lunch is planned from 12pm to 1pm followed by an introduction, presentations, roundtable discussions and networking! This meeting will take place at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, Washington.
September 15 - Chicago chapter meeting: "Value Leakage in Outsourcing Transactions" - This meeting at the Wrigley Rooftops has limited space and we are SOLD OUT! Currently, we will take registrations and place them on a 'wait list' so you may be contacted in the event of a cancellation.  In the event you are contacted about securing a ticket, please note: there is a nominal fee, $50.00, associated with registration. First come, first serve basis will apply.

September 20 (11am EDT) - Sales & Marketing and RPA joint chapter webinar: "Translating Intelligent Automation to Business Outcomes" - Explore what it takes for providers to successfully sell Intelligent Automation. The objective is to broaden the understanding of skills, attributes and other key differentiators necessary for sales success and share them with interested IAOP members. The format is a panel discussion. By obtaining the perspectives of those on all sides of the table, attendees will gain relevant insights they can use within their companies to drive sales improvement. Panel questions will be provided primarily by the attendees.  
September 20 - Nordic chapter meeting: "Humans and Machines in a Hyper-Automated World" - The Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies (CIFS), ISS and the IAOP Nordic Chapter will hold a networking event. Join us as we take a look at CIFS' research on the consequences of automization and how decision-makers should manage the opportunities and challenges which will arise in our increasingly automated world (in Danish). ISS will present its experiences with IBM's Watson, an example of how pro-actively leveraging automization has opened up a range of business possibilities (in English).

September 22 - New England chapter meeting: "Smart Computers and the Future of Outsourcing" — The convergence of digital technologies (cloud, analytics, mobile, social and security) has created a data-driven world that is fundamentally changing operating models. The convergence of these technologies is driving disruptive innovations and giving competitive advantages as clients and providers partner to reinvent business processes. Intelligent computing and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) are two paths that are undermining the competitive advantage of labor arbitrage and transforming FTE-based service delivery. This panel discussion will examine the impact of smart computing on outsourcing buyers and providers, focusing on real-world experiences and practical results. September 22nd from 4 to 6pm at the Foley & Lardner LLP offices, 111 Huntington Avenue, 25th Floor, Boston, MA.

IAOP chapters provide a forum for members to collectively focus on:
  • professional development
  • networking
  • the advancement of outsourcing within specific areas of common interest
Each chapter is led by chairs and co-chairs with deep knowledge of the area covered. Since IAOP members are members of the associationnot a specific chapterthey are encouraged to participate in as many chapters and chapter meetings as they wish. Non-members are welcome to attend any chapter meeting as a guest of IAOP to learn more about the association and its work.
