IAOP® Awards Tim Hopper with the Inaugural Dan Lang Award for Purpose-Driven Leadership
 

Windermere, FL — April 15, 2025 — IAOP is honored to announce Tim Hopper from Microsoft as the inaugural recipient of the Dan Lang Award for Purpose-Driven Leadership. This prestigious accolade recognizes individuals who exemplify exceptional leadership in purpose-driven initiatives in outsourcing and global sourcing. Tim will be honored at the awards luncheon during OWS25 in Chicago.

Tim Hopper, currently serving as Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain Sustainability Manager, has played a crucial role in advancing Microsoft’s ambitious climate goals. Tim is focused on developing and executing strategies to reduce the company’s scope 3 emissions by more than half by 2030. Additionally, Tim pioneered and managed a global Responsible Sourcing  program for Microsoft Procurement’s expansive supply chain.

Dan Lang, a respected leader at Sutherland and a staunch advocate for social impact, shared with Tim a commitment to sustainable practices and ethical leadership in the industry helped forge deep connections that transcended their professional endeavors.

Starting next year, the Dan Lang Award for Purpose-Driven Leadership will open nominations to IAOP members and the broader industry community, aiming to engage our global community in recognizing individuals who are making a profound impact through ethical leadership, community engagement, and sustainable business practices.

The winner will be announced during a special ceremony at OWS25, providing a platform to celebrate the transformative power of outsourcing and the people who elevate it to a force for good.
