They will be honored at IAOP’s annual Outsourcing World Summit, taking place February 17-19, in Orlando, Florida.

“The IAOP Leadership Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made a substantial impact in our industry through their leadership and vision,” said Debi Hamill, IAOP CEO. “Peter and Suzanne’s contributions are felt far and wide, not only at their organizations where they’ve been change-makers but in society as well. Both are involved at a high level in giving back. Peter through his work with feeding programs in Kenya and North Texas and Suzanne through her work with United Way and the Neighbor to Neighbor program at UPS that promotes volunteering in one’s own community.  I am pleased to honor them this year.”

Each of the inductees is an IAOP Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP). Suzanne Leopoldi-Nichols will also be speaking at the conference.

Peter Bendor-Samuel founded Everest Group in 1991 with the vision to assist the then-nascent outsourcing and global services industry to evolve more powerful and effective mechanisms to create and capture value. Over the past 25-plus years, he has led Everest Group to be on the frontier of the global services industry, ensuring that the firm is constantly at the intersection of how leading firms take advantage of disruptive technologies, innovative service vehicles, and game-changing talent models. In recent years, this has included helping enterprises and service providers to effectively leverage next-generation IT solutions, strategically transforming their business services, and helping them understand how best to evolve their services to meet changing internal and external customer needs.

"I have a great deal of respect for the leadership of IAOP and its vision and the people in it,” said Bendor-Samuel. “It’s very humbling and gratifying that the people who really are the backbone of the industry would recognize me and our firm.”

Leopoldi-Nichols entered the field in the early 1990s working for a payroll benefits and compensation company giving her a unique perspective on understanding the inner workings of an outsourcing provider before moving to the buy-side. During her career, she has worked with companies that have used outsourcing providers for their forward and future visions of processes and have looked to them for innovation and excellence in transactions. She’s awarded tens of millions of dollars of contracts to providers that have returned significant savings, improving metrics, that, in some cases, would never have been able to be accomplished internally. The UPS GBS organization helps support Finance, HR, IT, Sales and Marketing in the back, middle and front office through a network of 17,000 FTEs, half of which are outsourced in 80 global locations.

“To be the first woman GBS leader to receive this award is the greatest honor of my professional life,” said Leopoldi-Nichols. “To be listed alongside so many brilliant and gifted leaders, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement. But I wouldn’t be here without all of the people who helped me throughout my career, including my own teams over the years. This honor really goes out to all of them.”

Established by IAOP in 2006, The Hall of Fame continues to grow globally and now has more than 40 members in its ranks. The unique honor recognizes individuals for their outsourcing achievements as well as their contributions to community-based economic development and socially directed investments, career development, education and training through outsourcing. Recipients of The Leadership Hall of Fame are selected by IAOP’s Advocacy & Outreach Committee and include buyers and outsourcing service providers from around the world.
