International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Launches Mexico Chapter
Baker & McKenzie, Colliers, Hexaware, ISG and Softtek Join Efforts to Strengthen the
Mexican Outsourcing Industry

Poughkeepsie, NY, Nov. 27, 2012 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) announced today the launch of its Mexico chapter. Chaired by Baker & McKenzie, Colliers International, Hexaware, ISG and Softtek, the inaugural meeting will take place on December 12th, 2012, in México City.

Aiming to leverage Mexico’s unique position as a leading outsourcing provider in the Americas, with the global resources and knowledge of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®), the chapter will promote the outsourcing profession through knowledge sharing, education, networking and insightful discussion in benefit of the overall outsourcing ecosystem.

According to Dun & Bradstreet, companies now spend $4 trillion a year on outsourcing, yet, until IAOP there was no global professional body bringing its thousands of practitioners together, taking the lead in developing and promoting professional standards and serving as an advocate for the work being done.

“The active support of leading organizations like Baker & McKenzie, Colliers International, Hexaware, ISG and Softtek, is critical to the success of our global chapter network,” said IAOP CEO Debi Hamill. “We're pleased to launch the Mexico chapter and better serve our members working in the region as well as those considering Mexico as a destination for their operations.”

The Mexico Chapter will provide to customers, providers, outsourcing advisors, academic institutions, industry associations and government agencies, an opportunity to share best practices and collaboratively improve their organizations results as well as Mexico’s value proposition in the worldwide outsourcing market.

“These are very exciting times for Mexico. Economic and political stability as well as recent legal reforms have created a very fertile environment for the outsourcing industry,” said Sergio Legorreta, Chair of the Mexico Chapter. “IAOP’s vast global resources will be a key factor in its development in the coming years.”

The inaugural meeting taking place on December 12, 2012, is from 9:30 am to 1 pm at Salón Club de Industriales, Andrés Bello No. 29, Col. Polanco, 11560, México City.
