Presentation Guidelines

Please include the following template on your intro slide:

The 2013 Outsourcing World Summit®
February 18-20, 2013
JW Marriot Phoenix Desert Ridge
Phoenix, Arizona

Tips:

  • For a 50-minute session, we recommend no more than 25 slides to ensure there are no timing issues.
  • Allow 10 minutes at the end for Q & A.
  • The presentation should be built around five “takeaways” and we recommend that this be the final slide.
  • Don’t convey too much information on a slide.  Slides should present a clear and effective summary of the message.
  • Avoid cluttering up slides with information that does not support the message.  The audience should be able to immediately interpret the slides and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Use clear, bold font styles that are easy to see from a distance, not smaller than 14 points.  Avoid light-colored text against light-colored backgrounds, or dark against dark.
  • For graphics and icons, use images that make sense within the context of the message.  Use consistent, interesting metaphors which add humor or weight to the information.
  • Be entertaining.  In addition to conveying facts and figures, use slides to provoke an emotional audience response.
  • No more than one slide is permitted discussing your company, its capabilities, its client focus, and its value proposition.
  • Session should start and end on time.
