The West Africa Chapter is for customers, providers and advisors of outsourcing services who are located or work from the West Africa geographical space. The chapter is to serve as a platform to help these individuals and/or organisations build their professional networks, assess industry thought leadership, benchmark global best practices and to collectively advocate outsourcing as a preferred sourcing strategy and its practice recognised as a highly regarded profession and a valuable engine for economic growth of member nations.
Particular objectives that the Chapter shall focus on are as follows:
1. To act as a catalyst for growth of the IT-BPO industry in West African region through facilitation of trade and business, propogation of education and employment, encouragement of research and innovation, and supporting creation of progressive national ICT policy framework in countries forming the West African region.
2. To support, and enhance business competencies as it relates to IT-BPO industry in West Africa through learning, thought leadership and similar arrangements resulting in creation of a resilient and forward-looking private-sector leadership in the industry.
3. To foster creativity, innovation and inclusivity with business models where employment, training, and growth are the key focal areas.
4. To spearhead implementation of various development programs like Human Capital Management (Talent & Leadership) including but not limited to programs that lend both technical and management skills/ competencies.
5. To spearhead networking and exchange of best-practices within the region, as also incorporate the same from other regions for the larger goals of benefiting the industry.
6. To foster collaboration and strategic partnerships amongst the private sectors in the region, including but not limited to rigorous adoption of outsourcing models where value creation and sustenance are principal goals.
7. To support and provide industry guidance to governments and associations with ICT policy development, where collaborative PPP models can be structured with long-term objectives around value, jobs, revenues, public sector business transformation and growth.
8. To incorporate and spearhead various globally recognized programs spanning benchmarking, professional recognitions, certifications (both corporate and individual) with an express aim to enable ITES/BPO as a important tool for economic development.
