This meeting was conducted in Chinese.

Two keynote topics were covered:

“Managed Service” – by Nielse Jiang, the Vice General Manager of ISG China
With the development of China’s outsourcing industry, Chinese BPO companies are undergoing a transformation from simple cost-saving solutions to becoming a managed service provider. By providing managed service, BPO companies will increase customer loyalty and gain more bargaining power, obtain higher rates through value-added service, and move from a cost-based pricing model to value-based pricing.

“Outsourcing Talent Management and Development” - by Weiwei Gu, the Associate Vice President in Corporate Marketing of Pactera Technology International Ltd.
The outsourcing industry in China is facing a serious lack of talent, especially to fill roles that are critical to keep pace with the fast growth of the industry.  We also face challenges, such as high attrition among key talent, increasing cost of human resources, and a lack of channels/platforms to develop talent.  In order to achieve sustainable value beyond cost reduction, outsourcing buyers and providers alike must increase their focus on developing talent.
