IAOP Adds Newest Chapter in Eastern Europe

Outsourcing Association Kicks Off New Group with Presentations by PwC and Intetics

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY., Nov. 23, 2009 – Outsourcing professionals in Eastern Europe are joining forces to launch a new chapter of the
International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) to raise awareness of this region as an outsourcing destination and promote the industry and profession.

The chapter will kick off with its inaugural meeting on
Dec. 2, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., at the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) facility at 75 Zhylyanska St. in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is open to outsourcing customers, providers, advisors and academia.

The program will include presentations by
PwC on “Confidence in the Face of Turmoil – Making Sourcing Decisions in an Economic Downturn,” and by John Peppe, vice president international sales and marketing for Intetics Co., on “The Current State of Outsourcing Market in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.” A networking reception will follow the meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Co-chaired by Intetics and PwC, the goals of the new chapter are to build a network of outsourcing professionals across the region; promote education, training, certification and other professional development; and advance the profession.

“Intetics is excited to launch the IAOP Eastern Europe Chapter, along with world-class partner PwC, to raise awareness of Eastern Europe as one of the most promising outsourcing destinations,” said chapter Chairman Denis Grebennikov, director Intetics. “The value proposition of Eastern Europe is not only driven by low cost and scale, but also by a well-educated, highly motivated workforce and large talent pool, particularly in IT and engineering.”

“Challenging economic conditions around the world have encouraged many organizations to look at more cost-effective service delivery models like outsourcing. Saving money is important but outsourcing also gives access to talent, capabilities and business flexibility,” said chapter co-Chairman Adam Jamiol, senior manager, PwC.

The IAOP Eastern Europe chapter is a regional chapter within IAOP’s portfolio of over 40 chapters worldwide. Geographically based in the Ukraine and Poland, it plans to expand to other countries within Eastern Europe.
