Avasant Wins IAOP Excellence in Strategic Partnerships Award for Innovative Multi-Supplier Transformation with Leading Building Materials Company
Recognizing the limitations of an outdated single-supplier outsourcing model, a major building materials company forged a strategic partnership with Avasant that has revolutionized its operations through digital transformation and a multi-supplier ecosystem.
This exceptional collaboration earned Avasant the Excellence in Strategic Partnerships Award from IAOP for the fourth consecutive year. This prestigious award honors initiatives demonstrating innovation and synergies beyond traditional client-vendor relationships.

The partnership emerged from the material company’s large-scale transformative operation, an ambitious undertaking to adopt digital technologies and create a new competitive advantage through higher value-added services, a novel operative model, and rapid innovation.
Avasant assessed the customer’s supplier management and governance against its transformation strategy, industry best practices, and cost structures, uncovering significant value that could be realized with the new approach.
The result for the client: Transitioning from a single outsourcing provider for information technology, human resources, and finance and accounting business process operations to a multi-supplier service environment comprised of five providers.
Avasant also established a strategic partnership with the customer to provide technology-enabled supplier governance managed services and acquired the building material company’s Vendor Management Office transactional resources. Avasant established its Contract and Supplier Governance service center in Monterrey, Mexico, where the client is based, to fully support the company and their ongoing management of the vendor relationships.
