IAOP Honors Its Best
The stars shined bright in the virtual presentation of IAOP’s annual award presentation.
During a session with emotional video acceptances and applause from remote locations, IAOP once again feted the very best of the best.
In addition to the induction of four individuals into the Leadership Hall of Fame, companies and individuals were presented with the Global Impact Sourcing Award, HCL Red Ladder Women in Outsourcing awards, IAOP Members of the Year as well as special mention of the 2022 Global Outsourcing 100 companies and HCL Unstoppable Women list.
In opening the event, Atul Vashistha, COP, Chairman & Founder, Neo Group & Supply Wisdom, IAOP Strategic Advisory Board Vice Chair, reminded the audience watching of why recognition like this is so important.
From ancient times to today’s modern Olympics, he said, awards foster a mindset of achievement, nurture pride, showcase results, raise the bar and provide important third-party validation.
“These business leaders, even under a pandemic environment, have shown we can make great contributions to our enterprises and our industry and more importantly, to society at large,” Vashistha said.
IAOP Champions - Members of the Year
Debi Hamill, CEO, IAOP, recognized two members selected by the association’s team who go above and beyond to support IAOP, its members and the industry at large.
“It’s not an easy task. So many members give their time and talent readily and with such excitement to make this IAOP community a better place and in many ways, a better world,” she said.
- Audrey Cushing, COP, Director of Business Operations and Quality, Vee Technologies – Judge in the Global Excellence in Outsourcing award since its inception, member Voice of Customer community and leadership team member on IAOP’s Collaborative Supplier Governance Center of Excellence.
Cushing noted how she joined IAOP after a huge career shift and needed to learn everything she could quickly in her new role. “IAOP came highly recommended and never disappointed. I took as much information and knowledge from IAOP as I could,” she said. “I am so glad I have been able to shift over the last few years into a contributor role. Thank you to the entire IAOP team for allowing me to contribute and for always creating programs that allow us all to be takers.”
- Maurico Odavaine, Head of Outsourcing, Meta – Committed to diversity and inclusion at his organization and beyond, he has served as a judge for IAOP’s Global Impact Sourcing Awards (GISA) and leadership team member for IAOP’s newly launched Center for Social Impact.
“He inspires me as we strive to make diversity and inclusion a major part of the outsourcing industry,” Hamill said in recognizing Odavaine’s leadership and mentorship.
“Diversity and inclusion are near and dear to my heart, but it is only possible when we first think and positively design our efforts to impact the people working in our companies around the world,” he said. “I’m humbled by the recognition from such an important group of individuals and look forward to continuing the journey together.”
Global Outsourcing 100
Also during the event, IAOP released its 16th annual Global Outsourcing 100 list of providers and advisors in one comprehensive list that identifies leaders and rising stars in four categories – Customer References, Awards and Certifications, Programs for Innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility.
IAOP also publishes additional sub-lists for service provider and advisor applicants throughout the year through its various programs. The 2022 Global Outsourcing 100 list showcasing the best companies will premiere in a special advertising section of the 2022 FORTUNE 500 issue of FORTUNE magazine.
