In this article, we seek to answer the question, “To what extent are organizations reshoring services as a consequence of automation, rising protectionist sentiment and/or other factors?” Using data from a variety of sources, including our own survey administered at OWS17 in San Antonio, we conclude that the effects of reshoring will be uneven within and across buyer and supplier communities and will vary across business services. We first present the evidence, then we revisit the many factors that contribute to relocation decisions.

	Innovation in Best Practices: The Case of Bristol-Myers Squibb White Paper by the Academic Team from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business Administration Right-Sizing Governance Frameworks for Service Providers Many of the largest pharmaceutical companies are engaged in restructuring their sourcing relationships both internally and with their outsourced service providers to implement the best possible practices related to costs, efficiency and their governance framework. What is becoming increasingly obvious is that getting the governance framework right will ensure better outcomes. This case study relates how Bristol-Myers Squibb applied a new “right-size” governance strategy as a key part of its IT service provider governance strategy. The result was the IAOP 2016 GEO Award for Innovation in Best Practices.
	Women Empowerment and Opportunity in Outsourcing: Survey Results by Avasant and IAOP The “Women Empowerment and Opportunity in Outsourcing Survey,” developed jointly by Avasant and IAOP, was launched in 2016. While the results indicate there have been positive strides made for women working in the outsourcing industry, they also point to glaring issues.
