IAOP Seeking World’s Top Outsourcing Providers and Advisors for Annual Global Outsourcing 100 Rankings


POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Sept. 2, 2009 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) is accepting applications from now until November for its annual Global Outsourcing 100™ ranking of the world’s best outsourcing service providers and advisors.  


Over the next two months, the association expects to receive hundreds of applications from outsourcing companies throughout the world of all sizes representing the full spectrum of the industry.


The companies will be judged and ranked by an independent panel of industry experts for the main lists and based on geography, services and industry segment for sublists.


The unranked lists will be previewed at the 2010 Outsourcing World Summit, Feb. 15-17, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and fully released in May 2010 in a special advertising section of FORTUNE® magazine.


In 2009, Accenture and IBM were named as the leading service providers for the fourth annual list, while PricewaterhouseCoopers and Quint Wellington Redwood received top rankings in the inaugural list of leading advisors and consultants.


As research tools to help customers make better purchasing decisions and gauge the industry’s strength, IAOP produces the Global Outsourcing 100 rankings of providers, the World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors of advisors and consultants, as well as an expanded industry report, the Global Outsourcing 100 Plus Industry Report,


“Each year, the Global Outsourcing 100 continues to grow stronger and become more recognized, sought and valued in the industry by providers and advisors and companies that want to do business with them,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett.


The evaluation team will be led for the fifth year by Jagdish Dalal, Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP), IAOP’s

managing director, thought leadership, and be made up of recognized industry leaders.


Companies will be judged using an objective methodology that examines 18 criteria, including size and growth, customer references, organizational competencies and management capabilities. 

For the second year, IAOP will produce the Global Outsourcing 100 Plus Industry Report that highlights the qualifications and capabilities of the best providers and advisors globally, including Global Outsourcing 100 applicants. This additional independently researched report contains critical data and statistics for the industry and is available for purchase. 


Companies can submit applications for the Global Outsourcing 100 and World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors via an online application form and do not have to be IAOP members to apply.
