Outsourcing Professionals Form New China Chapter

International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Launches Beijing Chapter

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, June 10, 2008 – Continued growth in outsourcing in Asia has led The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) to form a new chapter in Beijing, China to meet local professionals’ needs.

The chapter will hold its inaugural meeting on June 17 with a presentation by IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett and a discussion on accelerating China’s growth in service outsourcing.

The Beijing chapter will be the association’s fifth in the Asia-Pacific region and shows the ongoing strong interest by professionals in outsourcing. IAOP also has chapters in Australia, Malaysia, East China (Shanghai City) and the Philippines.

“IAOP’s vision is to build a global outsourcing industry based on common professional standards, excellence and ethics,” Corbett said. “Through our newest chapter in Beijing, as well as our other chapters in the region, Asian companies can catapult to leadership positions in this emerging new world of outsourcing.”

Walter Fang, vice president and chief technology officer of Neusoft Group Ltd., is chairman of the Beijing chapter. The meeting will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Beijing Shangri-la Hotel, No. 29, Zi Zhu Yuan Road.

The event is free and open to users, advisors and providers of outsourcing services who are individual or corporate members of IAOP or their guests. To register for the meeting, e-mail IAOP's chapter coordinator at: amanda.corbett@outsourcingprofessional.org.
