Main Points of COP Certification · You will need to achieve 150 points total within your application prior to its submission · A minimum of 50 need to come from mapping your experience · 75 points will be earned by completing the COP Master Class · 15 points will be earned by completing the Outsourcing Governance Workshop · The easiest way to earn remaining 60 points will be to map all of these within your experience Main Points of aCOP Certification · This is not a point based certification, this is a knowledge based certification for those who do not currently have enough industry experience for COP · To earn the aCOP designation, one must complete the COP Master Class and pass the COP exam
Opening Either Application · Once you are logged into the IAOP website, you will be brough to the My IAOP dashboard. Under the My Activities Section you will see a link to either “apply COP” or “apply aCOP” – click the one of your choosing and complete the registration process · Once you open either application it will remain active for 12 months COP Exam · The COP Exam is a requirement for both certifications · You gain access to the exam once you open your application · Login details will be sent within 48 hours of opening your application. They will come from Jim Shea (jrshea@syr.edu). The login details for the COP exam are different from that of your COP application so be sure to save this email somewhere for future reference. · The COP exam is 200 multiple choice questions and you will have 4.5 hours to complete it · The exam can be taken online at any time within the 12 month period your application is active · IAOP recommends taking the COP exam no more than 3 weeks after the COP Master Class so the information is still fresh
