IAOP Announces New Governance Workshop

Windermere, FL, May 25, 2017 – IAOP® today announced its new Governance workshop, which will launch following the COP Master Class in Chicago, June 19-22, 2017. The workshop is a one-day intensive highlighting the critical importance of governance, based on the Outsourcing Professional Body of Knowledge (OPBOK). Developed by IAOP and the Outsourcing Standards Board, it covers all aspects of creating and sustaining successful relationships from design to implementation.

Highlights of the new curriculum include case studies with a focus on the practicality of creating and managing the process rather than the theoretical foundation of governance.

According to IAOP’s Chief Advisor of Thought Leadership, Jag Dalal, COP, COP-GOV, “Governance is a critical part of the outsourcing lifecycle. As the industry evolves, so must our content! Since we developed the original workshop, we have gained a tremendous amount of insight and have followed the current trends in how businesses govern their outsourcing engagements.  We have incorporated the latest learnings from IAOP’s Outsourcing World Summit and the Advanced COP Intensive And to better connect with the real-life governance challenges, we have developed new mini-case studies. As a result, we’re sharing the latest, real-time practices as well as what to watch out for in the future.

The training, geared for mid-to-high level professionals representing customers,
providers, and advisors of all types of shared services provide end-to-end knowledge of creating best practices for the outsourcing engagement and is an essential element of the COP program from IAOP and is 15 points towards aCOP and COP certification.

“Good governance is what enables companies to lock in gains from sourcing and realize value beyond cost savings,” said IAOP’s Governance Chapter Chair, Atul Vashistha, COP, and Chairman of Neo Group. “Additionally, key success factors of great sourcing relationships include good governance processes, trained and experienced teams and proven Governance tools and monitoring.”
One does not need to be a member of IAOP to register, but members do receive significant discounts to attend. Additional Information can be found at www.IAOP.org, or by contacting sales@IAOP.org for more details on pricing and availability of class seats for you or your organization.
