PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Chapter aims to create a permanent forum to bring together providers, customers, academia, regional investment promotion agencies and professionals of the BPO sector located in Colombia with international actors. 

Our goal is to adopt best practices, develop strategies, and promote education and professional development with the common objective of raising our country’s competitiveness as an outsourcing, offshoring and nearshore destination. The Chapter will work closely with IAOP to position outsourcing as a recognized profession and as an industry in Colombia. 

Provide an important space for IAOP members in which sharing knowledge and friendship becomes a must. Build a network of enthusiastic professional eager to share and invite others to join IAOP. Provide assistance to foreign companies during the establishment of new platforms/operations in Colombia.

The 2011 IAOP Latin American Outsourcing Summit

The 2011 IAOP Latin American Outsourcing Summit was a first-of-its-kind global event that brought the thought-leadership and global network of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) together with leaders from across the Latin American business community.  The result was an exceptional opportunity for individuals and organizations involved in outsourcing as customers, providers, and advisors to both understand and leverage the explosion of outsourcing taking place across the region.

Inaugural meetings held on May 3 & 5, 2010

The inaugural meetings of the IAOP Colombia Chapter, chaired by ANDI (National Business Association of Colombia)Invest in Bogotáand ProBarranquilla were held on May 3 in Bogota and May 5 in Barranquilla.
