A meeting of the IAOP Russia Chapter, chaired by Accenture and ASTRA, was held on September 5, from 5 to 7 pm Moscow time at the office of BDO, 53, Dubininskaya street, Building 7, Moscow. The working language was Russian.

The Russia Chapter is for customers, providers and advisors who work or are located in Russia or CIS countries. The chapter’s primary focus is to develop network of outsourcing professionals and assist these individuals in building their professional networks within the field and collectively advancing outsourcing as a recognized and highly regarded profession.
The Chapter will promote outsourcing as a profession across the Russia & CIS in order to develop the industry of outsourcing. We will encourage constructive dialogue and cooperation between customer, providers, advisors, academia and government.
The chapter will work with IAOP’s committees, especially Research and Training & Certification to take the lead in developing a codified set of management approaches, practices, and technologies for achieving high-performance outcomes through outsourcing in Russia.

Meeting held on November 8, 2010
A meeting of the IAOP Russia Chapter, chaired by Accenture and ASTRA, was held on November 8, 2010.
Discussion occurred around the creation of an English-Russian glossary on outsourcing terminology due to the amount of misunderstanding that exists in terminology.

Meeting held on July 14, 2010
A meeting of the IAOP Russia Chapter, chaired by Accenture and ASTRA, was held on July 14. The meeting tookplace on-site at the Accenture office in Moscow, and was available to guests worldwide through the lAOP webinar network.
In addition to the formal chapter re-launch, introduction of the chapter Governance Council and chapter charter, the meeting included the following key topics:
A presentation and discussion on "IT Outsourcing in Russia 2010: Market Overview" led by Sergei Makedonski of ASTRA/in4media. The presentation will cover the current state as well as perspectives of Russian IT Outsourcing Industry from both vendor and client sides. The speaker will discuss the value of outsourcing associations to consolidate the industry, to create professional community to share experience and best practices.
A panel discussion involving outsourcing leadership from organizations such as PWC, Booz&Co., Microsoft, SAP, PepsiCo, Kelly and others on "Primary tasks for IAOP Russia Chapter to facilitate development of outsourcing in Russia," moderated by Teimuraz Oragvelidze of Accenture.
