IAOP :: COP Recertification

COP Recertification Information

Certified Outsourcing Professionals must recertify every two years, and 20 hours of either continuing education or industry contributions are required each year. Recertification ensures that you will continue to be updated on the latest industry trends and allows you to sharpen your skills.

Recertification Application Download: The cost to apply for recertification is $50 for IAOP Professional members and $250 for Associate members. Login using your current application email and password in MYIAOP.

An electronic reminder will be sent out within 60 days of your certification expiration date.

Tracking of these credit hours is the responsibility of the applicant.

*Educational credits may be earned by:

Attending or instructing at IAOP approved workshops, events, training sessions and conferences, including:
Conferences presented by IAOP, including The Outsourcing World Summit
Postgraduate university/college courses
Courses or programs offered by employer or company-sponsored programs
Courses or programs offered by training companies or consultants
Courses or programs offered by distance learning companies
Courses or programs offered in the Outsourcing Professional Course Catalog
Attending and/or speaking at IAOP Chapter meetings with an educational component
Taking orTeaching the COP Master Class
Reviewing new COP applications

Attendees will earn 1 education credit per hour. Instructors and speakers will earn 2 education credits per hour.

*Educational credits must be at the level of industry professional learning and postgraduate study.

Industry credits may be earned by:

Serving on an IAOP committee
Reviewing COP Applications for perspective applicants (2 credit hours per application)
Writing substantive articles or papers on the topic of outsourcing that appear in either industry magazines with an editorial board or in conference proceedings. One credit hour is awarded for each article
Submitting articles and white papers for publication in the COP section of IAOP’s Knowledge Center, Firmbuilder.com

In additional to the above:

Those serving on an IAOP committee earn 10 credit hours per calendar year.
Each article published earns 1 credit hour.
