The purpose of the GEO is to identify leading-edge outsourcing approaches that have directly benefited the client company, and to recognize a team of outsourcing professionals who led the effort to advance the practice and profession of outsourcing globally.

GEO Award being applied for:

The GEO Award for Best Practices recognizes a company's outsourcing team for its leadership in defining, implementing and managing outsourcing relationships that significantly contribute to the company's overall success. The work of the team is judged on both process and results, irrespective of the nature of the functions outsourced or the regional or global scope of their efforts. The best practice can be around a specific aspect of the outsourcing practice (including a tool or approach) or the entire process.

The GEO Award for Innovation is given to a team that has recently implemented either a new Offoutsourcing relationship or a new outsourcing approach that is ground-breaking and worth special attention by other organizations. The goal is to recognize a practical innovation that has produced measurable results.

Please Note:

Outsourcing leadership teams of any size are eligible for recognition. The only requirement is that it be a customer organization and that the team members and their collective accomplishments be documented and substantiated through this application.

Only teams able to be personally represented at The 2012 Outsourcing World Summit, February 20-22 2012 at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and who have permission to be featured in publicity programs around the awards should apply.

All submissions are kept confidential and viewed only by the judging panel, who have signed nondisclosure agreements. Each winner will have a case study written about their team and its accomplishments. Winners have the opportunity to review this case study to ensure than no confidential or company sensitive information is shared.


	Part II.

1) What area(s) of your company's operations were impacted by the best practice or innovative outsourcing relationship or approach? Please name and provide input on the size, scope and nature of the business area(s) impacted.
2) Please describe the origin and nature of the best practice or innovative outsourcing agreement or approach, focusing particularly on specifics and how it represents an advancement of generally accepted practices in terms of its uniqueness and sustainability.
3) Please describe the steps, process and challenges overcome in its implementation.
4) Please describe, in quantitative terms, the resulting business benefits and ROI of the effort.
5) In summary, why does the team believe they should be recognized and how do they believe that sharing their story will contribute to the advancement of outsourcing as a management practice and profession?
