Meeting held January 8, 2009
The second meeting of the IAOP Beijing Chapter, chaired by Walter Fang of Neusoft Corporation, was held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Neusoft Corporation, Building 6, Zhong Guan Cun Software Park, No 8 Dong Bei Want West Rd, Haidian District, Beijing from 2:30 – 5 pm.
Chapter chair, Walter Fang introduced Cyrill Eltschinger, CEO of Softtek China, and Lingnian Qu, Chairman of Beijing Association of Software Services & Senior Consultant ofBeyondsoft (Beijing) Co. Ltd., who provided valuable information on the topic entitled “The Current Recession and its Impact on Outsourcing: What China Needs to Rapidly Develop Outsourcing Talents Today.” They specifically addressed how the current economy will affect outsourcing in China and the actions you should take for talent development.
The meeting included a networking reception from 4:00 -5:00 p.m.

Inaugural Meeting held June 17, 2008
Chapter chair, Walter Fang of Neusoft Group Ltd, and Michael F. Corbett, Chairman of IAOP, held the China-Beijing Chapter’s Inaugural meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Beijing Shangri-la Hotel, No. 29, Zi Zhu Yuan Road, Beijing, PRC.
The meeting began with an overview of the IAOP China – Beijing Chapter initiatives and the benefits of IAOP. Michael Corbett, IAOP Chairman one of the best-known experts in the field of outsourcing, shared his insights on what to expect as well as when and how Chinese companies can flourish. He also shared IAOP’s vision for a global industry built on common professional standards, excellence, and ethics and how Chinese companies can catapult to a leadership position in this emerging new world of outsourcing.
Following the introductions, special guests from BearingPoint China and Great-Idea Business Resources Ltd. spoke to the topic of “Establishing the Outsourcing Profession in China to Accelerate China’s Growth in Service Outsourcing” and shared their experience and expertise in establishing the outsourcing profession’s processes and putting them into practice.
The meeting concluded with a networking reception from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
