Second Meeting – “Outsourcing in Society – a View from Brazil” Summary The second meeting of the Brazil Chapter of IAOP was held on November 21, 2006. It was held at the offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Av. Francisco Matarazzo 1400 - 17th floor, and was hosted by Mr. Wilson Marques, head of PwC Outsourcing Services. The presentation included opening comments from Mr. Flavio Grynszpan and Mr. Wilson Marques. These comments were followed with a panel consisting of representatives from HP, Booz Allen, Oracle, Unisys, and PWC who discussed the main topic of “Outsourcing in Society – a View from Brazil”. A cocktail and networking reception followed. Inaugural Meeting of the IAOP Brazil Chapter – Chairman’s Summary The Chapter held its first meeting on August 15th, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, sponsored by IAOP Corporate Member Hewlett Packard. Chapter Chair Flavio Grynszpan welcomed more than 80 outsourcing professionals, expressed his appreciation for the great turnout, explained the objectives of the Brazil Chapter of IAOP and its structure, proposed an initial action planfor the Brazil Chapter and invited the participants to join IAOP. After Michael Corbett provided an overview of the outsourcing industry and IAOP,its membership requirementsandthe importance of IAOP Committees there was a session of Questions and Answers, where Michael and Flavio explained how the participants of the Brazil Chapter could benefit from IAOP Committees Projects. Brazil Chapter chairman closed the meeting, announcing that the next meeting will be held on November, 21st at the offices IAOP Corporate Member PricewaterhouseCoopers, who will be the host for the secondmeeting. Other Corporate Members, such as Oracle, Unisys, Booz Allen Hamilton, Johnson & Johnson, Morgan Stanley and Hewlett Packardare already invited to participate.
