The most recent meeting of the IAOP Hong Kong Chapter chaired by Sidney Yuen of Convergys Corporation was held on July 28, 2009 from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the Simmons & Simmons offices, 35/F Cheung Kong Center, 2 Queen’s Road, Central Hong Kong.

Meeting held - March 6, 2009
A meeting of the IAOP Hong Kong Chapter chaired by Sidney Yuen of Convergys Corporation was held on March 6, 2009.
This meeting was part of the IAOP Global Tour featuring Michael F. Corbett, Chairman of IAOP. As the keynote speaker, Michael spoke to the topic of “Outsourcing and The Global Economy: Learnings from the 2009 Outsourcing World Summit.” In addition, participants learned more about the upcoming IAOP Asia Pacific Outsourcing Summit that will take place on May 12-13, 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Hong Kong Chapter of IAOP held a breakfast meeting on Friday, September 8, 2006. The meeting, chaired by Hong Kong City Chapter Chair, Sidney Yuen, was hosted by IAOP Founding Member Simmons & Simmons at their offices, 35/F Cheung Kong Center, 2 Queens Road Central, Hong Kong.
Hon. Sin Chung Kai JP, Legislative Councilor, Information Technology Functional Constituency (ITFC), was the guest speaker.

Inaugural Meeting of the Hong Kong City Chapter
The Hong Kong City Chapter, part of the IAOP China Chapter, was officially launched on December 2, 2005 by David Barrett, IAOP Founding Member and Partner at the global law firm of Simmons & Simmons. The meeting took place during lunch at the Business Excellence Symposium at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and was produced by the Hong Kong Benchmarking Clearinghouse.
Mr. Barrett discussed IAOP’s emerging role as the global, standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession, as well as his personal vision for outsourcing as a global profession and as an industry. Discussion followed on Hong Kong’s outsourcing developments, and its global opportunities.
