A Healthcare Business Office Chapter webinar, chaired by Suresh Yannamani of HOV Services, was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from Noon to 1:00 pm (EST).

The Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST), in collaboration with healthcare, business, technology and information security leaders, has established the Common Security Framework (CSF), a certifiable framework that can be used by any and all organizations that create, access, store or exchange personal health and financial information. Second Meeting of the Healthcare Business Office Chapter

The chapter held its second meeting while at The 2006 Outsourcing World Summit, on Monday, February 20th from 9:00 – 11:00 am in the conference center of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Orlando, Florida.

For this first in-person meeting, the chapter continued to look at the gap between payer and provider in the industry, how these challenges are affecting end users, vendors and advisors and what options are on the horizon to begin to decrease the divide.

 Chapter
Mission

The mission of the chapter is to provide an integration of the payer and provider community within the business office functions of healthcare and to provide a forum for interaction. The primary goal of the healthcare business office chapter is to educate the user community in outsourcing services and promote information sharing by industry leaders in areas like market analysis, technology innovation and process improvement.

As a result, the participants in the chapter would follow healthcare through electronic medical record on the provider side to claims processing and adjudication on the payer side, all linking healthcare revenue cycle management together. This chapter will not focus on front-office aspects of payer or provider.
The chapter will provide thought leadership through the network of certified professionals, publications, relevant industry organizations and research initiatives.
