| | IAOP Network & Customer Network Guidelines IAOP Network and Customer Network are places to discuss issues, solve problems and learn from other members. The quality of IAOP Network depends on the input that each member contributes. Ask the questions and make the comments from which all IAOP Members will benefit. IAOP Network is only available to IAOP Members; Customer Network is only available to IAOP Members and is limited to customers of outsourcing services. Before using IAOP Network, please read the information below on the policies and guidelines for sending messages to others. IAOP Network Purpose and Content IAOP Network is intended for information and discussion pertaining to the management practice of outsourcing and industry related topics. It is not only a valuable resource for IAOP Members - essentially allowing them to google a global community of outsourcing practitioners - but promotes professional collaboration across the industry by providing a place for members to learn, discuss, and share information. IAOP Network is subject to the association’s strict non-solicitation policy. IAOP Network is intended for educational and informational use enabling outsourcing professionals to interact, exchange ideas, and learn from each other. IAOP maintains a zero tolerance policy regarding misuse of the network. Any effort by a participant to use it as a vehicle for promotional purposes will be dealt with promptly. A first offense will result in a warning and a second offense will result in permanent deletion from the list. Additional Posting Guidelines: SPAM: Expressly forbidden is the rebroadcast of petitions, chain letters, alerts, calls to action, get-rich-quick schemes, rumors, hoaxes, etc. Marketing: Soliciting business is strictly prohibited. It is a violation of IAOP’s non-solicitation policy to post commercial messages, an action that will result in public reprimand and permanent removal after a second offense. You may have your contact information, including URL in your signature line but may not post any sales information nor may you solicit directly to those on the list. |
Special Note
If you will be away from the office and decide to leave an automatic response email message, please unsubscribe from IAOP Network, since every person who posts to the list while you are away will receive your out-of-the-office message.
Moderation
IAOP Network is “semi-moderated”, meaning, while participants are able to post directly to the list, the list administrators receive all messages and reserve the right to:
► Determine what constitutes disruptive behavior and gauge the severity of the abuse
► Insist upon adherence to the list’s clearly stated purpose of discussing outsourcing industry-related topics, including publicly identifying specific discussion threads and discussion participants deemed inappropriate
► Temporarily block one or more members from use of the list
► Temporarily suspend list operations
► Permanently remove members from the list
That said, this power is rarely used, as the list is actually self-moderating. Participants are encouraged to not tolerate inappropriate postings and to use private email (not public posts) to express their dissatisfaction with each other. It is further expected that posts made to the list will not contain excerpts from other people’s private emails (unless with permission).
