Mike Salvino, Accenture's BPO Leader to
Be Inducted into IAOP's Outsourcing Hall of Fame
Poughkeepsie, NY, Nov. 25 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) today announced that Mike Salvino, Group Chief Executive of Business Process Outsourcing at Accenture and Certified Outsourcing Professional, will be inducted into its prestigious Outsourcing Hall of Fame. He will be honored at a luncheon ceremony during The 2014 Outsourcing World Summit in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, in February 2014, where he will also be a keynote speaker.
“I am deeply honored and humbled by this distinction, especially when I consider the achievements and contributions of the other Hall of Fame leaders,” said Mike Salvino. “It is truly a prestigious group – many friends among them – and I’m proud to join their company in advancing the practice of outsourcing as a management profession.”
Mike oversees Accenture’s BPO business of cross-industry (finance and accounting, talent & HR, marketing, procurement and supply chain) and industry-specific BPO services (including credit services, insurance, health administration and management, network and utilities) and leads a team of over 56,000 professionals, globally. Mike also serves as a member of Accenture’s global executive leadership team.

Salvino has had a long and impactful career history in the outsourcing industry and prior to his leadership role at Accenture he held senior leadership roles at pioneering companies such as Exult and Hewitt. In his home city of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mike is an active volunteer in his local community and serves as a coach and leader in youth sports. Through their 5MPOWER® foundation, Mike and his family also empower non-profit organizations in the Carolinas through investment of time, talent, and resources.
