IAOP Expands The 2010 Outsourcing World Summit and Adds More Strategic and Interactive Sessions

Three-Day Event in Florida to Feature Keynotes from Conseco, Applied Materials, Microsoft and the Disney Institute

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y, Nov. 12, 2009 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) today announced it has expanded The 2010 Outsourcing World Summit® to offer more specialized networking and strategy-focused sessions to meet professionals’ needs.

About 500 professionals are expected to attend the annual conference, Feb. 15-17, at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. to learn how to use outsourcing to emerge as leaders in the new global economy.

New additions to this year’s Summit include an additional session of “customer-only speed networking” and the first “provider/advisor-only networking” event, where professionals who work on the same side of outsourcing deals will share experiences and make closer connections.

The final day of the conference also has been enhanced to include strategy-focused concurrent keynote sessions on “Exploring Tomorrow’s Outsourcing Opportunities” and hands-on practicum on “Harvesting
Outsourcing Results.

“With the current recession appearing to ease, the question now facing most businesses is how best to position themselves for the growth to come,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “The Outsourcing World Summit will help professionals prepare for those new challenges and opportunities.”

Keynote speakers include Russell M. Bostick, executive vice president of technology and operations, Conseco; Tim McBride, chief procurement officer, Microsoft; Atul Vashistha, Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP), chief executive officer, Global Ability; and Ron Kifer, COP, group vice president and chief information officer, Applied Materials.
