Outsourcing World Summit Registration Climbs as Economy Strengthens
Hundreds of Companies Attending Annual Conference
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Feb. 8, 2010 – The economic rebound and growing importance of outsourcing in the new economy is driving an increase in registration for the 2010 Outsourcing World Summit®.
Event organizers from the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) report nearly a 40 percent increase in registration for its 13th annual conference, Feb. 15-17, at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
“Companies understand that as the economy strengthens, they need to position themselves for future growth and that outsourcing can help them do that by developing innovative and flexible business models that add greater value,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett.
About 500 executives from world-class organizations from around the world are planning to attend the three-day expanded event themed “Using Outsourcing to Emerge as a Leader in the New Global Economy.”
The program geared toward outsourcing customers, advisors and providers includes high-caliber speakers from Microsoft, Booz & Company, Cassidy Turley, CB Richard Ellis, Conseco, Disney Institute, Kirkland & Ellis, Neo Group, Accenture, Prudential, SAP AG, Vodafone, Ryder Systems Inc., Hinduja Global Solutions Inc. and IBM.
New this year, IAOP has added on the final day “real-time strategy sessions” in a round-theater setting featuring interactive sessions with industry leaders sharing their insights on the future of outsourcing.
