Newly Reorganized IAOP Italy Chapter to Hold Inaugural Meeting

Members to Discuss Governance and Public Administration Outsourcing 


POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Oct. XX, 2009
– The new Italy chapter of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) will hold a kick off meeting to discuss governance, public administration outsourcing, and developing Italy as a offshore and nearshore destination.


The meeting will be held on Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at IBM Meeting Facilities, Auditorium B, Via Sciangai, 53, in Rome. The chapter has been reorganized and growing under its new leadership team and executive advisory committee.


The meeting is open to outsourcing customers, advisors and providers. The chapter is seeking involvement from other leading organizations and professionals to participate in key advisory roles.


Italy chapter chairs Giovanni Vaia, Ph.D., Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP®) of University of Salerno and Huub Commandeur, business development manager of Kenobi Srl, will make a presentation on getting the new chapter started.


Other topics to be discussed are: “Governance of the Outsourcing Relationship. What Does it Mean?”, “Outsourcing in Public Administration: Opportunities and Constraints,” and “Italy SpA: Can it Be an Offshoring/Nearshoring Location?"

Lunch will be served. Interested organizations and professionals also will meet informally to discuss planning upcoming activities following the formal presentations.  

The Italy chapter is a geographic chapter within IAOP’s portfolio of over 40 chapters worldwide. Based in Rome, Italy, the chapter is rapidly expanding its membership across Italy and also will involve IAOP membership from around the world.
