IAOP’s Value Health Check Survey (VHCS), is a web-based diagnostic tool designed to measure the vital signs of an outsourcing relationship. It has been developed and is delivered in association with Global Sourcing Optimization Services (GSOS), a St. Louis –based outsourcing advisory firm focused on enhancing outsourcing outcomes.
IAOP's VHCS provides outsourcing customers and service providers with rapid insights to realizing outsourcing value. VHCS collects data across five key areas of value. Important contract and relationship demographic information also is captured, enabling market comparative analysis that leads to invaluable peer group scoring.
IAOP'sVHCS can be used for outsourcing contracts and relationships: of any work scope; shape and size; from any industry; involving any type of outsourcing, whether ITO, BPO or KPO, including shared service center relationships; and whether the outsourcing is done onshore, near-shore or offshore.
The Sourcing Relationship Value FrameworkTM
High performing and sustainable outsourcing contracts and relationships have certain characteristics in common. These relationships typically are able to strike a balance among the key areas of value in outsourcing relationships. IAOP VHCS is based on a standardized framework for outsourcing business value – The Sourcing Relationship Value Framework. The five key areas that make up the Outsourcing Framework of Value are: Financial Performance, Service Quality, Capabilities, Risk and Compliance, and Governance.
Using IAOP’s Value Health Check Survey
To use IAOP’s VHCS, stakeholders, preferably both the customer and the provider, are asked to prioritize and score their relative agreement or disagreement with a series of value statements covering the five key areas of the Outsourcing Framework of Value. These value statements are then analyzed, scored and compared across stakeholder responses to identify anomalies, trends and directions.
