IAOP Boards & Committees
Board and committees are made up of Founding Members, Corporate Members and other IAOP members selected for their specific ability and willingness to contribute to the work of IAOP.
Boards
Strategic Advisory Board – The overall direction of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) is established by its Strategic Advisory Board (SAB). The board is comprised of executives representing customers, providers and advisors from IAOP’s Founding and Corporate Membership.
Regional Advisory Boards – To properly serve the diverse global community of outsourcing professionals, IAOP has established regional level advisory boards.
The Outsourcing Standards Board (OSB) – IAOP’s standards program is led by the Outsourcing Standards Board -- a separate not-for-profit organization created by IAOP expressly for the purpose of developing and advancing industry-wide standards and certification programs.
Committees
Training & Certification Committee – Takes the lead in identifying the educational needs of members and overseeing the development and delivery of its training programs. Additionally, this committee works with the Outsourcing Standards Board to ensure that IAOP members are properly prepared for initial and ongoing organizational and professional certification.
Research Committee – Sets the research agenda for the association and oversees its development, delivery, and dissemination. Topics to be considered include best practices, industry trends, and performance and professional benchmark data such as pricing, service levels, contracting, operational structures and salaries.
Membership Committee – Responsible for ensuring that the informational, networking and professional support activities of IAOP meet members’ needs. This includes IAOP’s annual conference, The Outsourcing World Summit; geographic, industry, and topical chapters; publications; and an array of online and direct member support services.
Advocacy & Outreach Committee – Directs the association’s activities for advancing outsourcing as a recognized profession and as an industry. This includes maintaining information for use by the press and government bodies; participating as an advocate at public forums; and developing and presenting association awards showcasing organizational and professional excellence.
Professionals serving on IAOP’s boards, committees or subcommittees earn 10 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) per year toward Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP) recertification.
