IAOP Announces Outsourcing Hall of Fame Inductees
Current and former leaders from BP; Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy;
EDS/Perot Systems to be Recognized by Industry
 
Poughkeepsie, NY, January 8, 2013 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) today announced that Dana Deasy, Group Chief Information Officer at BP; John K. Halvey, Vice President and General Counsel at NYSE Euronext and former Partner and Head of the Strategic Sourcing and Technology Transactions Group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy; and Morton H. Meyerson, Former President and Vice Chair EDS; Chair, President & CEO Perot Systems are set to be inducted into its prestigious Outsourcing Hall of Fame on February 19, 2013 at The 2013 Outsourcing World Summit in Phoenix, Arizona.
 
“IAOP is excited to honor these exceptional leaders,” said IAOP CEO Debi Hamill. “Dana Deasy, John Halvey and Mort Meyerson have helped shape and grow the industry and inspired each of us with their contributions."
 
Dana Deasy has more than 30 years experience gained from leading and delivering large scale IT strategies and projects. He joined BP in October 2007, taking responsibility for global IT strategy and capability, supporting all the firm’s operations, including its Refining & Marketing and Exploration & Production businesses, as well as its commodity trading operation. As part of BP’s current change agenda, he is transforming the IT organization to maximize the competitive edge and value that information technology provides to the firm.  Outside of IT, he holds group-wide responsibility for Indirect Procurement and Group Real Estate.
 
John Halvey is a Group Executive Vice President and the General Counsel of NYSE Euronext and serves on its Management Committee.  At NYSE Euronext, Mr. Halvey is responsible for the global legal department and global government and regulatory affairs. Previously, he was a corporate partner with the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, LLP from 1994 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2008. Mr. Halvey practiced in all areas of corporate, technology and intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on information technology and business process related transactions.  From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Halvey was Executive Vice President of Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. 
 
Mort Meyerson joined Electronic Data Systems, Inc. in 1966, as a systems engineer trainee, ultimately becoming President and Vice Chair leading 45,000 employees. In 1984, he played a significant role in the sale of EDS to General Motors for $2.5 billion becoming the top technology officer at General Motors and leading the IT organization. Two years later, he retired. In 1992 Morton re–joined the corporate world as Chair and CEO of Perot Systems, retiring again in 1998. During his tenure, Perot Systems grew from 100 million to 1 billion in revenue, going from negative profits to over $90 million in pre-tax profits. Currently, Morton is the Chair and CEO of 2M Companies, Inc.; Morton has been actively engaged in investment activities through 2M  and its affiliates since 1985.
 
When inducted, Deasy, Halvey and Meyerson will join visionaries like Kevin Campbell, group chief executive of outsourcing, Accenture; Dennis McGuire, founder and chairman emeritus, TPI; the late Peter Drucker, writer, management consultant and social ecologist; Ralph J.
